Either way, people on this very site have been crapping on Winker since long before he ever even reach the big leagues. Was he viewed as a *part* of the future? Sure. But I've never read anyone on here referring to him as *the* future or as any kind of savior.

He was never a top 30 prospect. I think he was at most in the 90s.

I'd be shocked if he's not remembering Winker being a Reds top 30 prospect, not an MLB top 30 guy.

I posted facts and you’re just posting what this board said five years ago. He was a top 30 prospect ahead of Gleyber Torres, Ozzie Albies, Blake Snell, Tim Anderson and many others.

Same. I like Jesse as a player, but he was never viewed as a franchise savior. If anyone had him ranked top 30, they were the outlier, he was never a consensus anything more than like lower top 100 guy.
