I'm no fan of David Bell but with this offense sleepwalking the majority of the season and a bullpen full of gas cans, I really doubt the results with Larkin would have been better.


I'd love to have someone better than David Bell (although I'm not convinced Larkin would be that guy and it could have disastrous potential) but if they don't fix the offense and bullpen it won't even begin to matter.

He seems like an alright baseball guy but I’ve never seen anyone get it wrong most of the time. It just seems like if he leaves the starter in for the 6th he gets shelled and if he goes to the pen in the 6th they give up runs. The guy has probably never won a coin toss.
