i am sick of watch suarez swing a bat. if he once tried to make contact for a base hit, i might forgive it, but he wants those 40+ hrs.

I think the most HR he’s hit in a year was 14 so he doesn’t have a lot of pop. If he is trying to hit HRs then he is probably just aware of the situation. He’s been a 240-250 batter his whole minor league career and if he wants to stay in the majors and be an everyday player he’s going to have to hit more HRs. I have no idea what he’s trying to do but that’s the situation he’s in

Maybe he'd be better served trying for a higher on base percentage against righties than throwing good money after bad chasing HRs. They all say their up there trying to drive pitches and not going for HRs, but its obviously just the politically correct statement to make.

Peraza is still under control for 3 more years or about that so I don’t see the Reds getting rid of him. I actually think he has a lot of good skills but is just one of those players who can’t seem to put it all together. He’s only 25 so I’d stick with him a little longer.

But he is showing no improvement on focus or smarts. Under control doesn't mean cheap, how many years to arbitration?

Rosters expand to 40 in a week, so I would be surprised if anyone gets cut loose.

Have they changed the rules yet to only allow so many of those 40 to be active per game, like 23 to 25?

I don't think that takes effect until next year, at the earliest.

He’s hitting .244 in the last month with 2 HR and 7 RBI. He’s still getting back into the groove, which he will.

I love Scooter, but you must be his #1 fan Over his last 4 games, he is 0 for 11 with 7 strikeouts. I hope he can turn it around.
