Not many times has a guy had 180+ hits and next year get optioned to minors

Iglesias will go 0-4 because I jinxed him or be a formidable #5 guy for this game

Damn hoss, you seem a bit testy today. Cool your jets. And by the way, it has plenty to do with Iglesias. Galvis plays short, he can start in place of Iglesias, therefore giving the start at 2nd to JVM.

I suspect this is a takeoff on the "pitcher bats 8th" deal. Galvis gets on, and pitcher bats him over, so he'll be in scoring position for lead off guy.....

Galvis has been solid against lefties this year but it’s the weaker side for his career (.666 OPS against them) and pretty much everyone sans Votto in the lineup hits lefties well. If it was against a righty he’d probably be closer to the top.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Let's not cherrypick stats. He has 2 hits in 19 PAs for a whopping .133 BA vs LHPs. His OPS is .514. Kudos to him for coaxing 3 walks leading to that .316 OBP, but that's about all he has. The PAs I've seen of him vs LHPs has looked "disastrous".
