Also using all the relievers that Bell did goes back to my theory in that the more relievers you use the better the chance of one of them blowing the game. IMO BobSteve is a perfect candidate to become a three inning reliever specialist. He's been a starter and knows how to handle going multiple innings.
This team has been horrible at keeping the pressure on opposing pitchers. Big first inning then 4 or 5 innings 3 up and 3 down, scatter in a hit here and there while not getting anything going.

I would not go that far, but I agree, Stephenson has earned more higher leverage opportunities. I am not going to look up the stats, but it seems like his last dozen appearances have been really good. (Improved )
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

The offense has been very inconsistent this year, but that kid the Marlins had start the game pitched the game of his life. Sometimes it happens. Most guys on the MLB roster have some talent, and any starting pitcher can have a whale of a game. I remember Ron Villone dominating in about 4 starts in 1999 or 2000.. The rest of them were inconsistent or shaky..
We hit some good pitching, and Inglesis failed to deliver. The other relievers all came through, but he didn't.
