I was watching on Gameday in the first inning, and it said "Run(s)," and I thought "must have knocked Joey in from 3rd with a single. No way he hit another donger. Went to reddit, and bam, another Aquino HR. Simply amazing. He's just turning on balls so fast right now.

He was a solid 4th/5th OF in 2000 and 2001. (Took over Jeffrey Hammonds' role.) Was a .300 hitter for the Reds in his two seasons. Traded to the Rockies for Todd Walker.

Ochoa is an interesting entry on this list. He is an American -- born in Miami -- but was the first member of his family to be born in the USA. His family had been Cuban refugees. His father was a doctor in Cuba, and had been arrested by the Castro regime. He was a model prisoner while in the prison camps, and the guards liked him because he did his work and caused no problems. So they recommended to their superiors that Dr. Ochoa and his family be included among the next group to be allowed to leave for the United States. Alex's mother was pregnant with him when they came to the US, and he was born in Miami.
Eric Stratton, Rush Chairman. Damn glad to meet ya.

Aquino didnt break out until this year in the minors. And he was also hurt earlier in the season.

He would not have been called up during the time Schenler was flailing away.

Pretty awesome when you check the score on MLB.com and just feel like you know where those early runs came from.....then sure enough, next to Aquino name: 1 1 1 2

Seems strange that both Castro and Neil Walker are still on that team....looks like some contender would’ve been on those guys
