I have always been a fan.
In his last two starts and the last few weeks of '19 he seems like a better SP than we ever even expected him to be.
What are people's thoughts about Tony going forward?
Do we try and resign him?
Can we if he keeps this up?
Can we if he doesn't keep this up but finishes with an ERA sub 3.60? (And other good peripherals)
Do we spend money on him or Bauer if it comes down to it?
Is he back on track right now (Aug 8), or are we still not sold on him?

I remember a few threads years ago where board members basically bet their life Tony would never have another full start in mlb again.
I'm wondering where those posters are now.
I'm right here. I like Disco, but he has missed a lot of time. He's already missed a start this year. I'd try to sign him to a reasonable deal. Something along the line of Miley's deal maybe even Gray's deal. If he's looking for much above $10 Million per year, I'd let him walk. Mahle is ready, Greene and Lodolo are coming and Miley type guys are out there every year.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

I would resign him in a heartbeat. This isn't a guy who showed one good season and then lost it. This is a guy who was our ace while rebuilding, got hurt, and came back even stronger with a new, great slider. Personally, i'd rather keep him than any others except for Gray because I believe they've shown it over multiple seasons, with bad/learning seasons in between.

Also, since we got him for Latos, it'll make the trade for Latos one that gives us many seasons of quality starting pitching.

Anthony DeSclafani doesn’t receive as much attention as the top 3 starters in the rotation, but he’s been as good as anybody. He’s allowed six batters to reach base across 11 innings this season.

Sonny Gray on Anthony DeSclafani: "He’s always been very, very nasty. He’s figured himself out and what type of pitcher he is on the mound. He’s got just as good of stuff as anyone on this staff."

I'd agree here, Disco is a nice 4/5 starter, we have Mahle, Lodolo almost ready. I'd try to re-sign Bauer before Disco. If we can sign him for say 9/27 great or at worst 3/33 anything more I'd go with someone else.
