Turned the game on just in time to see Amir throw a ball into the stands and give up a single to make it 1st and 3rd with nobody out.

1990 gave us "The Nasty Boys", 2019 gives us "The Chernobyl Boys", a meltdown waiting to happen.

    Re: Reds @ Cardinals 9/1 Game 1

Garrett gives up a baserunner (forget how)
Throws the ball into the stands on a pickoff attempt. runner to 2b
Gives up a single 1st and 3rd , no out, Lorenzen coming in.

This seems like the right move, but I guess Lorenzen finishes the game or the Reds take a huge risk in the 9th.. If Lorenzen finishes the game, I guess Castillo needs to go really deep against Ponce Deleon in the 2nd game
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

Three for Verlander. That's good stuff.
Rounding third and heading for home...

He walked leadoff guy. I'd have pulled him there.

Another great pitching performance down the drain. We desperately need bullpen help. I don’t care for all the we need puig talk. It’s obvious we need pitching more than anything

He is intent on throwing his slider no matter what. More and more this season, "no matter what" means putting runners on base.

Even if he didn't get him, that was nice play by Tucker....
