Well, it's a clean ninth inning with a three run lead.

Maybe Iggy will actually show up for this one

Geno, Votto, Senzel, Aquino, Winker, Ervin just off the top of my head

I wonder if he realizes how insulting that might be to the hitters on the team
Well to be fair we don't know how good Lorenzen could be. We just know that with a small sample size he has done well. I would like to see him used a little more often. He is also a really good outfielder

Love this list. Lorenzen may end up on top by the time he's done.

Also, I have ZERO recollection of Seaver hitting a HR. Surprised to see he has six of 'em with the Reds.
Rounding third and heading for home...

Geno stays in to play 3rd

    Hopefully that's a good sign

Lorenzen with big motive to get a couple more runs with Iggy coming in -- so he has a better shot to get a vulture win!

Seaver hit 3 HR's for the Reds after the trade in 1977. He also hit 2 HR's in 1979, and 1 in 1981.

Well of course we don't know how good he *could* be, and I also wouldn't mind seeing him get a few more chances.

But, he's still a pitcher. And a decent chance that once a book is out on him he's not gonna be such a secret weapon.

Thom thinks he's talking up Lorenzen but at the same time he's giving a big slap in the face to the Reds offense.
