    Jim Day is not a great announcer, maybe he's not even a competent announcer, but boy is he better than Thom.

    Jim Day actually enjoys being at the game. It's like he realizes he's the luckiest guy in the world that he actually gets paid to hang out at the ballpark. And being a generally positive person makes it much easier and more enjoyable for fans to watch the broadcast.
