    Christian Colon called up

    Bobby Nightengale
    @nightengalejr

    #Reds added infielder Christian Colon to the 40-man roster. He hit .300 with 37 doubles, 10 HR and 70 RBI at AAA-Louisville this year. He hasn't played in an MLB game since June 20, 2017
    “I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

    Good for Colon. Had a fine year at AAA. Happy to hear it.

    2 weeks of mlb service as a thank you for a job well done in Louisville

    If Finnegan had even remotely impressed his contract would have been repurchased, sad how far he's fallen.

    I know Finnegan had a high ERA and BB rate, but I do not think I could categorize his 15 IP this year (13 appearances) as not even remotely impressed. He only allowed more than 1 R in 2 of his 13 appearances and had a K rate of 10.2/9.

    Over his final 10 AA appearances he had a 10 ERA allowing 21 baserunners in 10 innings.

    It wasn't impressive.

    I don't know why we should disregard the first third (based on IP) of a very small sample. I wasn't impressed either, but it wasn't a Nick Howard-eque line that others could imply based upon your comments.

    Okay?!

    Nick Howard's #'s in AA last season in an equal sample were actually better.

    I think what most would/should imply by my initial comment, was that he wasn't impressive - not worthy of having his contract purchased, and he wasn't.

    I guess I see a glimmer of hope from Finnegan because he can strike guys out at a decent clip. Howard never did that above A ball.

    I'm a Christian, but my colon is Buddhist. This guy was drafted 4th overall in 2010 in a draft that had PLENTY of good players to choose from. Maybe the Royals could have won another title had they not totally blown this pick: https://www.baseball-reference.com/d...ype=year_round

    The Marlins had a good draft.

    Sale and Yellich taken after Grandal.
