But something I noticed earlier, when I was still on the TV: Thom seemed to have 2 or 3 random excuses to talk about the Cubs TV crew and TV deal, including a lengthy monologue about how this is ALSO the last Cubs series that will ever be on WGN, because the Cubs are starting their own RSN. He even plugged it by name, and said "It'll be Cubs 24/7, if you're into that sort of thing."

Is it wrong that I started thinking that Thom is into that sort of thing? We know everything about his dad's contract, but nothing about his. Is it possible the Reds let him know they want a clean slate and gave him permission to start negotiating, and Thommy Boy knows where he's landing, already?
I'd say it's more likely that he's begging for a job.

Called 3rd strike on a ball 4 inches outside.

It’s also not real useful to throw anything not at least somewhat tempting. An 0-2 pitch that teases the strike zone is a good pitch.

I really dislike the strike zone box. That wasn’t a strike but there are plenty of times where the box misleads. It’s also visually distracting.

I think that 3rd strike to Heywood is what Stephenson was trying to throw to Contreras.

Nice recovery by Stephenson to get out a tough hitter in Zobrist with the go-ahead run at 2nd.

was a weird frame....it was like a close up of the white tube top's breast and slightly to the side Zobrist's hinds gyrating back and forth
