Good pitching matchup tonight with Castillo going against DeGrom.

Home run leader up for grabs this weekend also, Suarez vs Alonso.

If the Reds could take a couple this weekend it would virtually eliminate the Mets from the wild card.

The Reds tonight will wear their Military Appreciation uniforms in honor of National POW/MIA Recognition Day.

Marty and Cowboy will call tonight’s game live from the stands, behind section 119

When Reds second baseman Freddy Galvis described the “pop” he felt in his left knee that forced him to leave Saturday’s game in Arizona, it sounded like the worst-case scenario.

Galvis, however, underwent an MRI on Sunday, and the results revealed no structural damage -- a sigh of relief for Galvis and the Reds.

“He got a good report today. When we saw him go down, we were concerned, so it’s been really positive news since then,” manager David Bell said.

Bell also told reporters that the focus will now be on re-strengthening Galvis’ knee. Galvis will have a few more days of rest and will be re-evaluated in a few days, but with just 12 games remaining in the season, it's uncertain if Galvis will see any more game action.

And we do owe them a little payback.

Just glancing through the stats a bit

    11-12, 206 inn, 4.41 era, 1.26 WHIP

    12-11, 191 inn, 4.38 era, 1.29 WHIP

Trevor Bauer and Mike Leake....just interesting how close they were in some of the pitching stats

I want no part of the Mets being in the playoffs....so I assume they’ll sweep us

The Reds have just nine games to play this season.

They can spoil the playoff hopes of the Mets and the Brewers.

The Brewers and the Mets both ruined the Reds playoff hopes in 1999.

This is already longer than most game threads for the Reds Mets September series in recent years.

Over/under on unintentional intentional walks to both Suarez and Alonso? Two each?

I would walk Alonso the entire series even if bases are loaded....Geno for the win!
