50th home run for Alonso. First met ever to hit 50.

Low outside pitch hit 437 feet.

Todd Frazier excited in the dugout.

Only 4 hits given up, but 3 have left the yard. Not good.

Well in defense of Sal he threw that one low and away but Alonso is a polar bear

Alonso is the fastest player to reach 50 HRs.

I like Sal as much as the next fan but, for those of you that love the 'big trade' I'd say Big Sal is on the block. He's had his opportunities. Let's see what we can from him.

You aren't going to get anything for a 26 year old that's struggled his entire MLB career.

It was a bad pitch. It was hit 437 feet. The placement was ok. But you need the stuff, not just the placement.

Might as well keep him at this point. All we’d get is another teams Sal.

Reds will have to make some decisions on pitchers of Sal’s age group. They are running out of options. Stephenson, Reed, Romano, Mella, Finnegan, Stephens, seem like they’ve been with this organization forever. Time to fish or cut bait.

I think mellas and Stephen's are done since they were not brought up.
To me not much difference between sims Romano and gausman as far as starting goes
