    RIP Rip Taylor

For those of you that were around in the 70's will surely remember him. He was the confetti throwing comedian. He was on lots of talk shows and games shows and even hosted one called $1.98 Beauty Pageant. He was also entertainer of the year in Las Vegas three times in 70's. His comedy may have been dumb but in the end he would make you laugh.

    Re: RIP Rip Taylor

I want to say it was on FOX- but there was a comedy skit series where there was one called "Bad Day/Worse Day" and the narrator says something like "a bad day is when you find out the world doesn't revolve around you. A worse day is when you find out Rip Taylor does." And it goes to a scene of Rip Taylor circling this young kid tossing confetti.

    And it was hilarious.

I loved that guy, brought a smile to my face everytime he showed up.

It's a bad year for Rips.

I will always remember him as Sheldon, the Sea-Genie from "Sigmund and the Sea Monsters."

What we saw on TV was a tenth of his talent.

We all know about the confetti.

Yet few people ever pushed the envelop of how weird you can be in public like Rip Taylor.

Plus, $1.98 Beauty Show was pure genius.
