Lakers start a 5 game / 10 day East Coast road trip this week that concludes on December 19th in Milwaukee (Orlando, Miami, Atlanta, Indiana, Milwaukee). I really wish it started in Milwaukee to get the best versions of each team....Milwaukee will be getting the Lakers after being on the road for nearly 2 weeks.
The Lakers have not lost a game away from Staples Center this year.....I doubt they make it through this trip being able to make that claim.
Dallas is winning a lot, but does anyone trust them?

I was going to tear Towns' a new one about his porous defense on AD, but after watching the highlights, Davis "only" scored 20 of his points on KAT.
The rest were given up by Covington, Bell, and others.
Not a great night by any means, but not entirely his fault either.
Which brings me to another point.
LA is using Davis as a nominal PF more often than as a center. JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard 36.5 mpg. Davis soaks up the other center minutes when LA goes "small."
And Dude is producing.
He's fourth in the league in defensive rating, 2nd in defensive win shares. He's fourth in PER. He leads the league in blocks and is 15th in steals per game.
Why is Anthony Davis getting no love in the MVP race?
Pretty much. In both cases they seem to have passed the "good team" sniff test. I think Miami's got a chance to finish a little higher in the East, particularly since I'm close to positive the Heat will be making a big trade before the deadline. I'm starting to wonder if they can snag Jrue Holiday, who would seem to be exactly their kind of player.

He is balling and anchoring the 3rd best defense in the NBA, while Lebron is piloting a Top 5 Offense. It is hard to determine who is most important....I would still lean Lebron because the Offense does tend to stall without him....especially with Rondo out.
Sacramento playing some really good basketball. 2 impressive road wins in a row against Dallas and Houston. Buzzer beater to take down Houston today.
Sacto's been banged up, but it's hanging in the playoff chase thanks to Buddy Hield and HarBar Superstar.
