Is there any chance that Luhnow goes down with all of this?

He seems like the slimiest guy in baseball and you’re not telling me he had no knowledge of something like this.

    Ok

Announcers also know by the catcher’s fingers, even Thom

There's suspicion the Astros may have used buzzing bandages (or maybe a buzzer concealed by a bandage?) to relay signs, per Joel Sherman: https://nypost.com/2019/11/18/why-ro...sign-stealers/

It just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

On a side note, I’ve unearthed a very rare recording of the 2017 Astros fight song:

More news, MLB to investigate thoroughly

99% of all numbers only tell 33% of the story so when looking at the numbers remember that numbers is plural...

“Levying long suspensions for any interviewee found to have lied” is pretty interesting.

Who knows what they consider to be “long”, but this will be fascinating to watch unfold.

I'm interested in the legacy of the players involved.

Guys are being kept out of the HOF due to using PED's. What about the guys who were involved in sophisticated cheating like this? I know there are different sides to how PED guys should be handled, but I don't see how using PEDs are any worse than using a buzzer to steal signs. Bregman. Altuve. Springer. Alvarez. They are flying under the radar right now but if details come out and they are named as beneficiaries of the cheating - it will not be good for those guys.

Pete Rose stopped by ABC13 on Friday to promote his autograph signing this weekend at Fiterman Sports at Baybrook Mall. When "Charlie Hustle" was asked about the recent Astros "electronic sign stealing scandal," the all-time hit king had a hard time understanding what the Astros did wrong."I'll comment on that, if you tell me exactly what they are doing," says Rose. "I batted 15,000 times in the big leagues, and I can't imagine when a pitcher gets a sign and throws a pitch to me, how someone had time to tell me what the pitch was.

    Re: Astros stolen signs scandal

If they want to really punish the Astros, don't take away draft picks. Draft picks may or may not pan out, and they normally don't arrive at the MLB level for 2 years minimum. All Houston has to do to overcome that is sign/keep Free agents.

    You serious? Do this:

Draw a lotto between 3 low revenue teams in each league: AL: Tampa, KC, Oakland NL: Miami, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati

So one team is drawn per league.

Each of those 2 teams gets one player (of their choosing) from Astros. No compensation.

    That's how you punish.

Wonder if the players union would have any issues with that.

That would be a punishment indeed.

Aside from no trade clauses, it’s hard to see how it would be any different from being traded. Or much different than something like an expansion draft.

Lifetime bans for Aj Hinch and Jeff Lunhow, full season bans Cora and Beltran, maximum allowable suspension allowed for players instrumental in implementing or furthering the operation.

When MLB gave John Coppolella a lifetime ban, lack of cooperation and candor were cited among the reasons.

    @jaysonst
AJ Hinch just finished 19 uncomfortable minutes of meeting with the media. Mostly declined comment on anything related to the cheating investigation. Said he’s talked to MLB “a couple of times” and now is just “waiting” for a verdict. “Everything is in their hands.”
