    Yeah I said the same thing when this started. If catchers continue to throw down signs to call pitches there will be efforts to steal those signs via technology. Even with these penalties.

    Just give the guys wireless earpieces and be done with it. (Make the connection ultra-secure of course)

    Pitching is deception. Knowing the pitch is a big advantage over (sewing and reacting or guessing)

    Iím still of the same stance that I cannot believe teams didnít do more with creative signaling to counter it.

    They will now.

    Girardi said they did some things to counter in 2017, teams will counter with creativity and use smart people to help them do it.

    I agree. Thatís why I earlier proposed that the pitcher and catcher come up with a random number at the beginning of an inning to act as a key to offset the signs. But itíll probably end up being an electronic means between the two. Until Macedonian teenagers start calling the pitches.
