Can we give them the PT we got in exchange for Gennett last summer?

Looks like he wasn't involved with the trade. This is from Boddy's Reddit AMA

No, actually! I was not involved in that decision at all. But I'm quite excited to work with JDL.

Does anyone know if Brian O'Grady and cash is the payback for De Leon or now they both still owe each other a PTBNL and cash?

Whatever it is keep tinkering with players in the Rays system, it's always one of the best feeder systems in baseball. TBay doesn't miss very often though, so tread lightly...
They do have depth at MI and SP in their pipeline and are always looking at shedding arbitration eligible players, so having a decent working relationship with their F.O. makes everyone feel better than any dealings with LAD or NYY.

Glad the Reds ponced all over the chance to get De Leon before he needs the Fountain of Youth to reinvigorated himself- he could be shipped to Florida at that point.

Tyler Stephenson being behind Santillan, Hinds, and Callihan is absurd.

It appears MLB.com is trying to outdo how bad their lists were last year.
"Today was the byproduct of us thinking we can come back from anything." - Joey Votto after blowing a 10-1 lead and holding on for the 12-11 win on 8/25/2010.

The last time MLB Pipeline did a full evaluation to get to these rankings was nearly a year ago. They slot in new draft picks based on little more than their draft position and about a month of play in rookie league. Wait until the 2020 rankings come out (around January or February) before criticizing it.

Derek Johnson strikes again? People have been wondering what happened to De León's fastball. Apparently it has returned.
    https://blogs.fangraphs.com/sunday-n...ith-a-new-arm/
His “new arm” doesn’t feel foreign to him. The Isabela, Puerto Rico native recalls former Tampa Bay teammates Alex Cobb and Nathan Eovaldi saying that theirs did feel different after surgery, but he hasn’t experienced that sensation. What he has experienced is a velocity rejuvenation. When I talked to him a few days before camps were shut down, De León told me that he’d been 95-96 in his most-recent outing, the firmest his heater had been in years. Moreover, he didn’t recall ever throwing that hard, that early.

    JJ Cooper on Twitter:

De León's return to close to the form that once made him a top 25 prospect is sneakily sliding under the radar.
    We still have him, right?

I am pretty certain that is a yes. In his first two starts in the Puerto Rican Winter League, De Leon went 9 innings, giving up one earned run on 3 hits. He walked 5, and struck out 20. I'm sure Doug has more up-to-date information on De Leon.
