    Lineup with Moustakas?

Assuming no other free agents or signings, what does your batting lineup look like?

    I've got:

    1. Winker/ Ervin LF
    2. Votto 1B
    3. Suarez 3B
    4. Moustakas 2B
    5. Aquino RF
    6. Senzel CF
    7. Galvis SS
    8. Barnali C

    Comments:
Nice balance left to right, with power throughout and OBP at the top. There is absolutely no team speed-- they might not get 30 SB with this squad. SS is obviously the weak sister here, but if Aquino's not for real, he'll torpedo the lineup nearly all by himself. Senzel is perhaps the biggest key to the Reds' 2020 hopes. If he approaches his minor league numbers-- a cumulative .312/ .388/ .508/ .895-- they'll be in the division hunt all season. If not, they could be a .500 team.

    What you got?

Getting a lead off hitter with good on base skills and some speed has to be the biggest need for the offense now. The backup option would be Senzel hitting lead off if we can land another middle of the order bat.

Sounds about right although some would swap Senzel for Winkvin

    I get that.

I chose the OBP over Senzel's speed and upside.

But I'm willing to be persuaded.

The most obvious guy on the market to fill the precise need is Marte.

Marte in CF. Senzel moves over to LF. Winker is traded, probably in the Marte deal.

Adds speed, OBP, more of a “true” CFer. Can lead off.

I guess Lindor too, but Marte probably more readily obtainable. I think Bucs must trade him and definitely will. Marte is in the $11-12 million range per year, Reds can handle that.

That line up looks like it might be moustake prone to me...

That lineup would make Joey change his batting stance and drink black coffee

Winker at the top is problematic....he gets on base, but guy is just too slow.

I'm not claiming my 60 year old carcass would be worth a hoot, but what the heck..I still have extremely unrealistic fantasies..
Hey! and there's still my blazing 23 mph fastball that bounces across home plate!

Still not sold? I'd be a LOT cheaper than anyone on any MLB roster..
