This is sort of an FYI post for all members.
Twice a year I search the state of Ohio's unclaimed funds site for money that is owed to me, or my family.
(The state of Ohio currently holds nearly 3 billion $ in unclaimed funds, and every year though they pay out a lot they always take in more than they pay out)
And pretty much every year I've been successful in finding at least someone in my immediate family on there. I also search the names of my closest friends, because I always get a kick out of telling other people that I've found some money they should have received years ago but didn't for some reason or another.
If you're lucky enough to find some funds on there, all you have to do is claim them by filling out a form from the state proving that you are who you say you are - the search is free (tip: check the maiden names of females as well).
I'm including the links for Ohio, and the master site that keeps track of unclaimed funds (this is for most states not just Ohio).
Hope you guys find some money.
