    Phillies To Sign Didi Gregorius

The Phillies have reached an agreement with free-agent shortstop Didi Gregorius, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.

    More to come.

Unless the Phillies paid out the nose, I can't help but think this is a huge miss for the Reds.

They didn't pay through the nose in money or time. It's seems clear to me: Didi would rather play for Girardi than Bell.

Maybe he prefers the east coast to the Midwest? Or he hates LaRosa pizza? Or his best friend is Zach Ertz
    Could be eh?

Start looking at trading for Story, Lindor, or one of those Dodgers.

I mentioned the possibility of Didi going to the Phillies a few weeks ago. I was told it wouldn't happen because the Phillies had a SS.

Freddy Galvis cannot be their starting shortstop in 2020.

Absolutely not. San Diego and Toronto have tried that.

He can and he will. That writing went on the wall the second they picked up his $5.5M option.

Ok, so who backs him up? We have no one for that role. The FO had to have had a plan for this...otherwise, Peraza would still be a Red.

Great, love his defense. Had a career offensive year. But you're gonna pay him 7 million. Didi signed for 14 million. I'd much rather have Didi.
