Reds sign Dylan Rhealt to a Minor League Deal

Saw him announce this on Twitter. Last year he was ok, but Giants released him. Seems he's been working with the driveline guys. Says velo hit 98.1

Sounds like they at least have a project to work with.
(Referring to Jack Hannahan signing with a Korean team)
Since there are no teams on the moon, I guess South Korea's far enough from Cincinnati to satisfy me.

Looks like the bullpen plan is to pick up a few guys like deLeone and Rhealt and try to find a couple arms that work on the cheap. I'm fine with that if they put money in a solid bat and another starting pitcher.
99% of all numbers only tell 33% of the story so when looking at the numbers remember that numbers is plural...

I'm pretty sure Rhealt is heading to AA or High A.

Could also take over Amir Garrett's role of team enforcer.

A chance he's released out of spring camps too, he's about to turn 28 and he hasn't pitched professionally since August of 2018.

Though according to driveline he's now near 100 mph and Team Canada was impressed enough to have him on their Premier team, so clearly we know why the Reds are interested in him. The Reds have been a leader in scouting players in Canada for what it's worth.
