Have already seen that game- it was not competitive. Chiefs were much bigger than GB in both lines but Packers had these really big, really athletic linebackers and a wonderful defensive backfield. Pack also had this incredible QB who kept throwing passes to this old man who had been out drinking the night before.

Heck, Pete Carroll has won one Super Bowl and I’d say he is close.
Yup. Eli will unfortunately get in as well.

That was a typo I didn't catch. Thanks Randy LOL

The Ravens offensively are a young team. They'll be sticking around in a division where two of the four teams are fighting for relevancy and over how is going to finish last (LOL). Still the cockeyed optimist when it comes to the Browns (have talent, can they put it together?), and even the Bengals.... get key players healthy on the offensive side, have an A+ draft, and, IMO, you'll get a better view of whether Taylor is the guy to lead this team forward or not.

Big Ben will be healthy, says he will be better then ever. We'll see. It will definitely be a step up from the Steeler team I grew to know and love in '19 (LOL).

I expect that State Farm would love a Chiefs-Packers Super Bowl. State Farm commercials already feature Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers.
Unfortunately, next Sunday the 49ers, whom I loathe, will probably defeat the Packers, whom I like.

ESPN is considering offering Tony Romo upwards of $10mill/yr to leave CBS

Who knew that there was more money in broadcasting than playing QB ? Romo's highest base salary for the Cowboys was $8mill

Do sports fans tune into a game because of the announcers? For me, it has never been a consideration.

I would say no. But to the flip side MNF has been so bad (games and announcers) I rarely watch.

They may not but they may tune out of a game because of them.

If you have surround sound and disconnect the middle speaker, the announcers go away.

In response to viewer disatisfaction with the palaver, NBC broadcast a game without it, in the '60’s

It was a Jets game. No banter, no jawbowning. And NO play-by-play.

No "8 yard run by Snell. No 12 yard gain by Maynard. No It's a 45 yard field goal!"

    Just. Dead. Air.

Well, nobody expected that. So NBC said "See? We did it and nobody liked it." They declared victory and the rest is history.
