For a 2017 1st round pick SS in AA.

Only the A's #17 prospect, but still, unreal.
(Referring to Jack Hannahan signing with a Korean team)
Since there are no teams on the moon, I guess South Korea's far enough from Cincinnati to satisfy me.

Good for them getting anything out of him.

I don’t. The bullpen thing last year was annoying, but he wasn’t the first player ever to reject an attempt to change his role. And he gave the Reds a couple pretty great years during their peak this decade despite them completely botching the beginning of his career.

I’m glad Homer has bounced back this year somewhat and hope he does well in Oakland.

Same, he wasn’t the best teammate it seems, but he gave us the no hitters and some pretty strong years. Injuries got the best of him.

Homer is one of my favorite players to play for the Reds and I wish him continued success.
When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.

Merreil has a career .687 OPS over 3 minor league seasons. Don't know much about the A's Minor League system but #17 seems kinda high for those kind of numbers.

Homer is definitely in the twilight of his towel-snappin' days...

Which, to most clubhouse workers, is probably a good thing.

Love the ongoing insistence that Homer was a towel snapping headcase, based entirely on the completely trustworthy word of one Mat Latos.

The story is absolutely true because it's documented as one of Dallas' tatoos.
"This isn’t stats vs scouts - this is stats and scouts working together, building an organization that blends the best of both worlds. This is the blueprint for how a baseball organization should be run. And, whether the baseball men of the 20th century like it or not, this is where baseball is going."---Dave Cameron, U.S.S. It is way too randomly specific to be untrue, in my opinion.

And with Homie, "if the towel fits, snap it."

It's true because I want it to be true.
