    The Top 10 (ETA)

    Andrew Vaughn, White Sox (2021)
    Evan White, Mariners (2020)
    Triston Casas, Red Sox (2022)
    Ryan Mountcastle, Orioles (2020)
    Seth Beer, Diamondbacks (2020)
    Lewin Diaz, Marlins (2020)
    Bobby Bradley, Indians (2020)
    Michael Toglia, Rockies (2022)
    Grant Lavigne, Rockies (2022)
    Tyler Nevin, Rockies (2020)
Problem is that Votto is under contract through 2023. Nevin's timeline would not work at all and Toglia and Lavigne probably would not work either. I really think pairing Votto with platoon guys like Matt Davidson makes the most sense. By platooning Votto, you rest him regularly, which is important since you have to play him for four more years, and you combat his increasing splittiness.

What about Ibandel Isabel, he has the power numbers but his average hasnt been great. I had hoped the now former assitant hitting coach who left to go to the Giants Donnie Ecker could have been his next pupil after Aquino.

It seems the Sox want two
High end prospects and someone to take David Price and most his contract(3 years and 96 mill) in order to part ways with Mookie Betts.....which team bites on that? Braves? How bad do you want Betts for a season?

It'll be a team that's tried to improve enough this year to be competitive. My prediction: Blue Jays

That sounds lime a good guess....the White Sox might fall into that same category and then there’s the Dodgers who haven’t done anything yet

I'm a little surprised we haven't seen Scooter signed to a minor league deal yet with an invite somewhere. Wonder if he's a fallback consideration if the Reds can't sign Holt.

I thought he was employed by the Reds? Was he fired? Did he quit? What did he ever do for the Reds?

Two high end prospects AND they want someone to take most of David Price’s contract?

Sorry but if I’m an opposing GM, you’re either getting high end prospects or salary relief. Not both.

Especially not for one year of a guy making a ton of money. I’d have to be convinced Betts was the last piece to a WS caliber team.

I can't imagine any team doing that deal.

    That's what they want.

I'd be fine with either/or as a Red fan.

    But not both.

    Either:

    1. Senzel and India plus a couple of 20 - 25 guys for Betts OR Aquino and three of nothing better than Stuart Fairchild for Betts and Price (with Boston paying $30M).
