Good move by Philadelphia, IMO. Liriano can be effective, if used properly.

So if Pedroia retires that solves 13 million dollars of the BoSox cap problem for 2020. (He's collected 31.25 mill for 24 at bats over last 2 years).

Maybe Pedroia becomes Manager, keeps his money and it doesn't count against the cap. Cora's gone right?
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

From Nolan Arenado to #Rockies fans:

“There has been a lot of stuff going on that nobody knows about and I was reacting to what was said, and (that) was out of character for me because I’m very private with my life,” Arenado’s statement read. “The Rockies have been talking to my agent and me this offseason about a number of things that will remain between us. I will not speak on these things anymore. I’m getting ready for the upcoming season. I’m working hard to get better for my teammates and fans.”

SOURCE: #Rockies GM Jeff Bridich’s seat is now scorching hot. Facing pressure, Rockies are opening back up talks. Arenado told Rockies to either add for playoffs or trade him, and they did neither. #Mets and #Dodgers in discussions in addition to current front-runner #Cardinals

Hearing now #Rangers still in. Price remains high though. Throw them in the mix.

This guy seems legit, including having his own baseball podcast. The first tweet was retweeted by baseball reporter Jessica Kleinschmidt. Guess we'll find out.

Hope Arenado goes to the Rangers and then we sign Castellanos. That seems like the ideal scenario at this point.

Didn’t The Cardinals come out and say there was no way they could add the salary?

I mean it is Arenado, so I’m sure they could move some stuff around, but still. That would put them way over what they stated was their max.

Hearing Starling Marte talks are intensifying. Mets, Padres. Still a chance something gets done before spring training.

Saying Myers would go back to Boston along with "a significant amount of prospect talent".

Could be a short lived stay in the Pads org. for Trammell. No way they give up Gore and I'd assume they'll try to prevent giving up Patino.

The Padres FO guy I spoke to last summer was raving about Trammell. Could not stop gushing about him and kept saying the Reds made a huge mistake in trading him.

I also got the impression they want to see Gore mature a bit. He had some mound antics in his short time in Amarillo. Got mouthy with some opposing players that were teeing off on him. Gore is obviously the higher rated talent. I do wonder if they want to get Trammell out of Amarillo and into the PCL as soon as possible if no trade materializes.
    Dubito Ergo Cogito Ergo Sum.
