    Zach Cozart DFA

I would be interested bringing him in for Major League minimum salary or a Spring Training invite. He may be injured or he may have lost onfidence. I just remember when he was here he was a solid contributor. I certainly would take a flyer on him to back up at SS.

I'd rather just give Blandino a shot. Let's not taint Cozart's magical 2017 season (and his solid years before that) with a shell-o-Zack return.

You may be right. He is 34.
Just thinking of trying to compete the next 2 years.
Having a veteran like him would help.

He hasn't logged regular time at SS since he left the Reds, has been injury plagued and turns 35 next season. I'd do a minor league contract, at best

Picking up used up players off the scrapheap isn't the move of a championship team.

We have got to get out of this mindset.

Is Hatteberg still available? He could still play 1B. Probably.

It could be Cozart’s last symphony.

    Sometimes it is.

I don't see the harm in taking a look at Cozart in the spring if he's healthy. You don't pencil this kind of guy into anything.

Shouldn't he still have like 3 years and $50 million left on that huge contract he signed?

Call me crazy but I loved the Garciaperra/Tejada era. What are both those guys doing these days and do they still own a ball glove?

    It's not that hard.
