Since the hall is a museum and makes its decisions on their own time will probably eventually pass enough to include guys like Jackson and Rose. But they'll be dead, Roses peers will be dead and their misdeeds will likely be called out loud and clear

I still think what they did to Pete was unconscionable, but that's my take. After all, Bonds and Clemens are still getting votes to the HOF and we KNOW absolutely they both we big time users of HGH and steroids. it's time to let this one incident of gambling go as if it's the ONLY bad thing a player could ever do to be excluded. I think Pete would have had an easier time getting in the HOF if the only thing he'd ever done was to murder his wife and the team manager on the pitchers mound during the WS .. Oh well..I'm biased obviously and think he should be in the HOF.

While that's true, if you look at the board of directors of the HOF, it's mostly a Who's Who of baseball people including Manfred.

So they are probably not going to do anything that would upset the powers that be in MLB.

Guess he shouldn't have bet on baseball, breaking the rule that is posted in every team's locker room.

Guess he should have cooperated, because Baseball wanted to help Pete. He made it adversarial.

Guess he shouldn't have lied about it for 15 years.

and on and on and on.

    A key fact often overlooked.
My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!

Why should anyone care to visit a HOF that includes a marginal player like Harold Baines and keeps an all-time great like Rose out? What is a Hall of Fame anyway? I'm starting to lose interest in the place.
