Will Jeter be giving out swag bags to all the attendees at the induction ceremonies?

I know it's petty of me, but I'm glad there wasn't another Yankee getting in unanimously.

    When will the shaming start?
When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.

I've glad to see Walker elected, and of course Jeter was no surprise. A lot of others should have been elected, but those two deserved it.

Walker getting elected renews my faith in humanity.

I can't see the lone non-voter staying anonymous for long. Whoever made the conscious decision to be a non-conformist doesn't care about popular opinion... like a terrorist taking credit for random acts of violence, this had to have been somebody who wanted to be forever known as the party responsible.

Either that, or some disenchanted Marlins' beat writer covertly wielding every tool in his box to stick it to his boss.

Or somebody wanted to use their vote to keep somebody else on the ballot deserving of consideration they're not currently getting.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

That would be perfectly fine, but it's more likely some curmudgeon who blanked the ballot just voted for Jeff Kent.

There are a lot of other players that are better than Jeter that didn’t get in unanimously so forgive if I don’t care that one guy didn’t vote for him.

Today in 1953 Joe D. was not voted in on his first try.

I agree. The best hitter and pitcher of my time.

I just think there will be a contingent of media folks who won’t want (can’t stand the thought of) Curt waltzing in alone.

Well, except for Pedro. Before Roger roided up in Toronto, his last few years were pedestrian. His nickname was "Fat Rog".

I'd definitely take Pedro over Clemens.
