Dusty Baker is the new Astros Manager

For all of Dusty's fault, I really liked the guy and I think there's a place for him in MLB. I hate that he's going to the Astros so I'm a bit bummed because I want to see him win a WS.

Dusty is going to be shocked to find out that Altuve, and not Correa, is batting second.

That's just not gonna fly. Shortstops bat second.

Very glad for him, he deserves it and he's a really good fit for the Astros.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I couldn't imagine a better guy to rep the Astros in 2020. Dusty is the face of old school and deserves another chance at a ring.

It’s the right hire if for no other reason to bring in a guy who is respected and trusted with all the shenanigans that have come to light.

I look forward to the Reds denying him that ring next October. I hope he gets the 'stros there to lose to us!

When Dusty was managing the Reds, the game was passing him by. Now? The game has passed him by.

    Shortstops don't always bat 2nd.
Data actually matters more than gut feelings.
Starting pitchers can't throw 120 pitches every 5 days.
And white people don't get gassed in the summer heat more than other ethnicities.

The Astros just made a huge mistake, and I'm glad. They deserve every bit that Dusty brings to the table in 2020. Toothpicks and all.

This seems harsh. I think it is interesting that a very data-driven organization concluded, presumably after consulting their analytics group, that what they needed was Dusty Baker. It should be an interesting experiment and I'm happy to let the Astros conduct it.

I don't think Dusty even knows the modern uses of a trash can. He probably still uses them to discard rubbish, which can seriously impair their resonance.
