    Re: Suarez has surgery

GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Optimism that third baseman Eugenio Suárez will be ready for Opening Day increased a little more for the Reds. On Monday, manager David Bell revealed that Suárez will make his 2020 spring debut in the lineup on Friday vs. the Rockies.

“The plan is for him to DH on Friday,” Bell said. “If that was to get adjusted, it would be sooner than that. Most likely, though, it will be Friday at the latest.”

After his first AB tonight, Suarez 3 for 36 with 13 Ks. Power and OBP numbers make Billy Hamilton look like Mike Trout.

Stick with him or time to admit he isn't 100%?

Hopefully once Suarez reads this thread it will ignite the fury in him.

I think he clearly needs more rehab. He looks incredibly uncomfortable.

I know surgery on the shoulder is always notable but is loose cartilage really a 6-7+ month issue? I looked up similar cases, Aaron Judge had the surgery at the end of November 2017 and was back raking by the start of 2018.

    Edit: He just homered lol

“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

You’re welcome. But he still looks about as comfortable as a guy who has eaten a Crave Case and a box of laxatives.

If hitting a 430ft bomb to dead center off Bieber is uncomfortable, I'd hate to see him relaxed.

Bieber was due for a little correction. But it’s a sign of life.

I would think that going through a full spring training is much more important after a surgery that would certainly have an effect on his swing in which a shoulder qualifies.
