This is very interesting. He's a guy I wondered about after they signed Didi but then Caeser went to Cleveland and they slid him over to 2B. I think he's be a great fit and slot in at the top of the lineup.

Am I reading the advanced defensive statistics for Taylor correctly? The way I see it, he is absolutely horrible at SS. Certainly, Senzel has to have a decent shot at being better than Taylor at defensively at short.
Agree, don't think Dodgers would want Winker, Dodgers would want prospects or Pitching from the Reds IMO.

I rather see the Reds call the A's about Semien. 80+ extra base hits, a very good SS and sending them Galvis would knock off 5+ million of his 13 million salary. Then sign Brock Holt as the back up utility player. That would help the Reds more in my opinion than Taylor anyday.
Difficulty: are the Athletics integrated in moving Semien. I don't think they are.

Agree that Siemen and Holt are much better than Galvis and Taylor. If A's are trading Siemen they are selling high. Guy had great season in 19 and is $13m for 2020 then FA in 21. You think Reds would add $8M in salary (if A's take Galvis' $5M) for Siemen plus add Holt and give up the prospects?
My thought was Galvis is not enough for Reds at SS. But he and Taylor would be. IMO, Reds are not going to trade for Siemen and sign Holt adding probably more than $10M in salary plus give up the prospects.
