    Reds have signed RHRP Pedro Strop (pending physical)

    Ken Rosenthal is confirming it.

    Free-agent reliever Pedro Strop in agreement with #Reds on one-year, $1.825M contract. Performance bonuses can raise total value to $3.5M. Represented by Movement Management Group.

    - $25,000 for 45 games pitched
    - $50,000 for each 50, 55 and 60 games pitched.
    - $100,000 for each 65, 70 and 75 games pitched.
    - $200,000 for 40 games finished

    mlb trade rumors had strop as the highest ranked free agent reliever left on the board (and the only one left in his top 50 overall free agents to begin the offseason). who are some other relievers that are still on the market and could be had for, say, $1.5 million?

    I know there was some discussion about his hat. But, Pedro has long been considered a good leader in a clubhouse. I think it's a great signing. Really good to have someone in the pen with postseason experience:

    The Reds 2020 payroll is currently on track to be the largest in franchise history, approximately 6% larger than the previous franchise record which was set in 2019.
