Can't understand how someone expects injuries for the Reds to be more severe than other teams they play. If the team has a consistent leadoff hitter and the bullpen continues a positive trend this could be an excellent year in the win column - 92-70.

When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.
Last year I think I went with 83-85 (too lazy to look it up). That turned out to be too optimistic. Drank too much Puig Kool AidWithout doing any serious analysis, I am back in that neighborhood. I think they win 84. They've added a lot since last year's Opening Day, so I think a winning record is a very realistic projection. However, the bullpen worries me. Suarez and Senzel being hurt is a bad start, too. SS is weak. Finally, I really, really want to believe in Votto bouncing back, but... So, nets out to a winning record, with a chance to be around 90 wins if things break right, especially Votto.

Going with 90 wins this year. Only concern might be the defense for me, but I think it can be hidden a little with shifting and utilizing metrics.
I wish I had the time to go back and find every prediction I've made on this site. It'd be cool if someone could write a query to pull that data into a chart and see which posters have been the most accurate.

No need to wait to vote, barring major injury (or convincing posts on this thread), I don't think spring training will change my opinion of the team much. I went 83-85, saying 83 wins. I'm a pessimist as I'd rather be pleasantly surprised. Last year I said 73 and they won 75. No question the team has improved on paper. Remarkable job by Williams, considering the Reds farm system has been a total bust in the last decade. I expect major regression from Votto, and one of either Castellanos or Moustakas to disappoint slightly. Shogo I expect to struggle at first but improve as he learns the pitchers and pitching. Injury issues scare me with Suarez and Senzel. The pen is scary too, I don't see much chance that Iggy regains elite form but others could improve off of last year, maybe even Lorenzen. But on the positive side, Derek Johnson will continue to get good production out of his starters, and hopefully can improve the bullpen. My hunch, this is the year the Desclafani remains relatively healthy, and IF Bauer comes back strong, my prediction will be surpassed.
