Is there any news on Lodolo? I may have missed something but hasn’t pitched since 30th may?

Apparently he left that start with a blister issue so I guess they’re being conservative with him at the moment
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Definitely going to be safe with him and probably even hold him out a start after he’s better and maybe conserve some innings if we need him for a late playoff run.

Is he still out? Bizarre to keep him out a whole month with blisters if so.

IMO he and Barrero both belong in Louisville at this point.

Doesn’t really matter where he is if he’s hurt

Re: "Lodolo a Fast Mover?"- Fangraphs

My guess with blisters they want to make sure it's healed before he starts pitching again. Something like that can affect release points and motions, which leads to injury.
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

Bump. Nick Lodolo has been picked for the 2021 Futures Games. https://www.mlb.com/reds/news/2021-futures-game-rosters

Jeter Downs also made the squad.

Nice to see Lodolo move two levels this season. He, Ashcraft, and Greene have all done really, really well.

Similar to Greene, he bombed on his AAA debut. Hopefully he adjusts and has a strong finish to the season.

It doesn't look like he "bombed". He gave up a 2 run homer in the first and was pulled with 2 outs in the 3rd and a guy on 1st. Guy on first scored so he was charged with a 3rd ER. Question is whey was he pulled after a single then 2 outs in the 3rd- was there a blister reoccurrance?

Edit: Doug thinks he was on a pitch count.

    Nick Lodolo, final line: 2.2IP, 3H, 2ER, 2BB, 2K, 51 pitches, 30 strikes.

Based on the reaction from everyone it seemed this was a "pitch count" thing that he reached and not at all related to any injury issue.

I can confirm Terrible Tim Adlerian was largely responsible for that third earned run credited to Lodolo. Other than the homer he did fine.
