Have you tried Dan Symborski's mother? She could have exactly what you are looking for in her kitchen closet if we are to believe Dan. https://twitter.com/DSzymborski/stat...65897631023107

I know people have better critical thinking skills than this.

It is possible for something to be a threat for certain people, and ALSO be something that the media is exploiting for ratings and presenting as a bigger threat than it is.

Wild that there are people who think that organizers of events like SXSW and Indian Wells, events involving hundreds of millions of dollars, fell for "media hype".

And I'll just add in before someone else makes the claim - these events do not have insurance that covers cancellation due to "health/outbreaks".

Why would this be the one thing that they don't try and exploit for ratings?

“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

For anyone unconcerned because they are "young, healthy and stupid" - please consider that you can carry the virus (3 to 24 day latency period) without symptoms and spread it, and you likely have a loved one or friend who is not necessarily young and/or healthy.
Well, that's what those words mean. He was here. If they don't keep him, he will have been lost/subtracted. I headed out the door today with two shoes on my feet. If I don't return with them, I have lost them. If I do return with them, I haven't added them. ---M2

In case it wasn't clear, I was joking.

Being stupid does not protect you from contracting a virus. Neither does being purposefully ignorant. To members of both communities, please follow CDC/WHO guidelines for preventing the spread of coronavirus.

If there is any upside to all of this is that there are getting to be some super buys in the stock market. Airline stocks are a bargain and likely to go much lower as the panic I intensifies. Might be time to do a little bargain shopping for the portfolio.

There's also some evidence that the coronavirus hysteria is causing ppl to be more careful and thus decreasing flu cases and deaths. Japan has already seen their flu numbers decline precipitously.

Yep, there are some videos on youtube that still show cities in Wuhan are virtual ghost towns well into March.

Ya, keep in mind that those that are elderly and have health problems have a MUCH higher fatality rate. For instance if you are over 80 it could be as high as 15-20%. The site below is a great site for statistics and updated almost instantly. That's why we have seen so many deaths in the Washington nursing home outbreak. Conversely if you are healthy and under 50 your death rate is well under 1%.

NPB - Japan's top baseball league - has postponed the start of their season. After speaking with public health experts, they said this: We can’t play games in the current situation, where for every one person in a large crowd, two to three more will likely become infected.
