RIP Jay Johnstone at age 74 from Covid related symptoms. Best known for his 1984 Fleer card, a regular prankster and clubhouse clown. He also was a pretty good 4th outfielder with a long 20 season career.

Johnstone also appeared in the first "Naked Gun" movie, batting right handed [he hit lefty during his MLB career]. He, along with teammates Jerry Ruess, Rick Monday and Steve Yeager, appeared on "Solid Gold" after their 1981 World Series victory over the Yankees, singing Queen's "We Are The Champions." His pranks included going into the stands in full uniform to buy a hot dog, dressing up as Tommy Lasorda complete with extra padding to go to the mound to confer with a pitcher, locking Lasorda in his office, removing Lasorda's celebrity photos and replacing them with photos of Johnstone and a few of his teammates, etc.
"Hey...Dad. Wanna Have A Catch?" Kevin Costner in "Field Of Dreams."
