Just a marvelous all-around player he was, steady as a rock and my favorite player of all-time.

How many misters are there anyway? You have Mr. October (Reggie), Mr. November (Jeter), Mr. Baseball (Uecker) and Mr. Met (Mr. Met). There’s Mr. Mister if you want truly terrible 1980s pop-rock.
But the most beloved of all the misters are those who became synonymous with their team and their city. There’s Mr. Cub, Ernie Banks. There’s Mr. Padre, Tony Gwynn.
And there’s Mr. Tiger, Al Kaline.

Sorry to hear about Al Kaline. Great and classy player.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

I think Al Kaline was the smoothest fielding right fielder I ever saw. Clemente was the only one to give me second thoughts on that.
A great player.....

Bill James once compared Kaline to his contemporary rightfielder Roberto Clemente. He praised them both as hitters and as fielders, but if I recall correctly he called Clemente a spectacular fielder with a great arm (Clemente was all that) while his description of Kaline as a fielder was more succinct: He said Kaline was "perfect." R.I.P.

Great player in Kaline. Just a classy person too. Not many like him before or now. For some reason I can remember thinking that the MLB emblem was him batting. I don't think that is the case though. RIP Al Kaline.
