He may not have gotten a card as a Red in the US, but he did get one in Venezuela. You'd be surprised who all they make cards of down there (and how cheap the shipping to up here is if you buy them off eBay).

Not sure why the Venezuelans felt the need to make a card of a guy who played four games back in 1944, but I love obscurities like this so I'll take it

Fun fact of the day: despite never being a Mud Hen, Corky Miller holds the record for most seasons of at least one game played at Toledo's 5/3 Field

You never know who you'll find a card of. This is old-timey Reds radio announcer Harry Hartman:

Burt Shotton was manager of the Reds for one game 1934. Not sure why anyone thought that was worthy of a card 50 years later, but here you go. He did at least beat the Cubs that day to finish his Reds career undefeated.

I know by 1977 Topps put the entire set out at once and not in series like they had up until 1973. So there were no short prints or high series. But I swear that Perez card was so hard for me to get and I have had other collectors tell me the same thing. I still remember as a kid where I was when I pulled that card out of a pack.
Setting with my mom and dad at the local Dairy Queen.
First word out of my mouth at last a Perez then why is he not in a Expo uniform.

While this isn't my favorite aesthetically, it was in the first pack of cards I ever bought, which was a nice start.

Still thinking about what my favorite would be.
