I’ll be grateful for any baseball. It will be a tipping point for the better when it happens.

You’re a good guy so I’m not trying to give you a hard time but phrasing like that is asking for pushback.
I still have zero idea what was wrong with my post.

I’m kinda blown away I should have provided a disclaimer that I cannot see into the future and was not stating a fact.
What would you say.....ya do here?

I wouldn't be surprised if that's now their primary plan. The idea of starting in June was clearly considered at one point, but that now seems more and more unlikely.

None of us know if there will be baseball this year.

I would bet a large sum of money that there will be baseball played on-time next year.

I agree. My previous post was mostly tongue-in-cheek. I really do believe the next time we see baseball is on Opening Day next season. I hope I am wrong. Very wrong.

I'm hopeful. It's extremely depressing to think of the the entire summer going by without baseball, but it's obviously a possibility.

Considering the audience I’m not surprised. Baseball > Christmas to baseball fans

I kind of agree. I keep looking for positive signs, but maybe the most sensible thing is what the Olympics did. Clear the decks, move it to next year, don’t push the envelope.

The plan, sources said, would dictate all 30 teams play games at stadiums with no fans in the greater Phoenix area, including the Arizona Diamondbacks' Chase Field, 10 spring training facilities and perhaps other nearby fields. Players, coaching staffs and other essential personnel would be sequestered at local hotels, where they would live in relative isolation and travel only to and from the stadium, sources said.
That sounds like hell for the players..yeesh.

With millions of dollars at stake for owners and players, i see this as highly likely. I don't understand how some people think people are gonna being willing to lose all this money. They will play this year and no one should be surprised.

I'm just thankful (reeking with sarcasm) that we have shows like Tiger King to fill the void.

[and No, I haven't yielded to temptation to watch one minute. I'm still in recovery from the Audie Murphy Western Marathon]
