Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. -- Carl Sagan (Pale Blue Dot)

It's 4:00, I'm going to sit in my garage and drink a couple beers and listen to an old baseball game on youtube and read
Exciting times we are living in folks.
I feel like I'm the Bill Murray character in Groundhogs day.

Trying to convince the wife to jump in the minivan with me and the kids and drive to the mountains of southern Utah before Wichita becomes a hot spot (and that's coming). I can work from anywhere, kids can school from anywhere, and it's wide open, sparsely populated country. We'd bring our own supplies and stay away from the locals.
So fun one degree of separation story: A guy I grew up with, and still know/talk to, was college roommates with one of the founders of Cards Against Humanity and was also one of the early employees of the company before they got really big. I've heard a few very hilarious stories and ideas about the company that aren't public ones - ideas they had, cross promotional things they tried to get done with other companies that couldn't work out that would have been great (IMO).
I'm still out doing deliveries, some for Rush, and a lot of Amazon Fresh grocery routes.

Grape works as a soda. Sort of as a gum. I wonder why it doesn't work as a pie. Grape pie? There's no grape pie. - Larry David

While HBONow is free, I'm finally getting to watch a bunch of shows I've never seen because I was too cheap to pay for HBO. Silicon Valley and Barry, for example, are excellent.

Been learning a little Gypsy guitar, and stumbled onto the best I've ever seen, and I've seen them all: a guy from Germany named Joscho Stephan. If you like acoustic guitar, take a listen. His technical abilities are incredible, but more importantly he plays very melodically with great taste, and is genuinely a good guy based on his interviews and sharing of knowledge.
Really regretting not buying an XBOX for myself for Christmas. I could use something better to take my mind off of everything right now.
