Dawn actually upped the intake of Vitamin D to her parents five weeks ago as we knew of evidence that suggested it's benefit, and it's one of the reasons why those of African descent have a greater risk to this disease. With the isolation getting outside and getting natural vitamin D has been more difficult, especially for the elderly, who are isolated even more than usual.

The "White House" information needs to come from a certified physician in this field, not a politician.

    Re: COVID-19 Thread Part 2

When the first wave began, Oregon tried to do the contact tracing, but those they had working on it were so overwhelmed that they quit trying after two weeks. It was like trying to trace every single green noodle in a 1000 gallon vat of white spaghetti noodles and discover every other noodle that the green ones came in contact with, and doing it with two people as the noodles were being stirred. Once there became too many green noodles, it was impossible. One of the reasons they want a minimum of 14 consecutive days of declines (if a Governor wants to, I suppose they can lie about the numbers. So many lie to suit their purposes.), so the tracing can be manageable. If they can't trace, they can't isolate and pull the people out of the system before they infect too many others. Most people can handle getting the infection. It's not about them. It's about those who can't. Oregon has now split their corona-virus numbers into those still affected, those recovered and those to be determined. 30% of all who have been infected are still infected. It's lasting for months for many even though we have placed the quarantine number at 14.
