    James Drury, R.I.P.

I just saw that James Drury died nearly one month ago at age 85. You probably have to be old (I'm age 64) to remember Drury, who starred on NBC's 90 minute western "The Virginian" from 1962 to 1971. R.I.P.
"Hey...Dad. Wanna Have A Catch?" Kevin Costner in "Field Of Dreams."

Either that or you have to be taking care of elderly parents who watch INSP 12 hours a day.

I remember him well. I've been watching the reruns. It was one of the last of the Westerns. I watched 'em all when younger...Cheyanne, Hopalong Cassidy, Roy Rogers, the Cisco Kid, Tales of the Texas Rangers, Rawhide, Wild Bill Hickok, Paladin, Wagon Train, The Rebel, and so on.

The theme song to "The Virginian" is classic. If you look at who starred in the Virginian as guests and regulars its first couple seasons you can see why it was so well liked. Great writers, of course, means everything.
