Yes, but they're 6-6 and coming off an embarrassing loss to UConn. And he's been there a long time and done nothing.

So much for the Duke coaching tree.

The Bearcats get back on track, dumping SMU 76-69. I feel a win streak emerging.

I'm not a particularly good sports bettor, so it's fun when I actually make a good pick. Tonight may have been my best ever. Got Illinois -7 for the second half. Good to have a few extra bucks to blow on the NFL playoffs this weekend.

    Per CBS...

That was on full display during a historic second half. Illinois (9-3, 5-1 Big Ten) outscored Northwestern 53-13 after it trailed by 15 at the break. The Illini limited the Wildcats to just two field goals and forced nine turnovers in the final 20 minutes of their biggest victory at Northwestern since a 63-30 blowout on Feb. 19, 2000.

According to STATS, Illinois became the first team to outscore a major conference opponent by at least 40 points in a single half since Kentucky outscored Vanderbilt by 43 in the second half of a 106-44 win on March 5, 2003. The Illini are the only Division I team in the last 25 seasons to trail by at least 15 points at halftime and come back to win by 20 or more.

Probably not related, but Maceo Austin just announced he was leaving Duquesne for personal reasons. Autsin was Oscar Teshiebwe's best friend @ Kennedy Catholic and on the AAU team. I recall a lot of rumors about before Oscar signed with WVU, his people were trying to force WVU into offering Austin as a package deal.

crazy, Illinois looked like they could beat anyone in the 2nd half of the Northwestern game.

Of course, in the first half they looked like they could lose to anyone.

#15 Texas Tech goes to Austin and upsets #4 Texas 79-77. Mac Mclung hits a long 2 pointer (foot on the line) with less than 3 seconds left for the win.
