It's the experience that makes baseball the national pastime as much as the game itself (mostly outdoors, slow paced, generally good weather for a large portion of the season). It's an experience the NBA cannot replicate (although theyhave their own experience which can also be good; but too different to replace baseball's experience).

This. I stopped watching most basketball in the early 2000's only waching some playoff games. With that being said if there is no baseball, I am done with it. I will go back to watching a league who knows what it is doing.Originally Posted by bucksfan2

Go to college or even high school games. I enjoy it much more anyways. Good atmosphere, no parking hassle, a lot cheaper, and players who actually play for love of the game.

If MLB thought it was hard to come back from the 1994 fiasco just wait for what's in store after 2020. They will get to argue about splitting up vastly decreasing revenues in future years. And players really will get to play for love of the game because it won't be about much money.
MLB will have no problem coming back in 2021 if it's shutdown this season.

At this point, I’m not even sure if I care about a 2020 season anymore. There’s way important stuff going on, and if we get any kind of baseball, I’m afraid that I won’t even recognize it. Bring on 2021.
