Good PR is important and if there is no baseball this summer it would be a PR disaster. Won’t see me giving any money to MLB for years to come, and I know I’m not alone with that sentiment.

Baseball is supposed to be the national pastime and if they can’t figure this out they will be turning their collective back on America because of greed.

Pretty short sighted to have a limit to how much you're going to lose? I think it's sensible for everyone to set limits. The players sure did.

Go to college or even high school games. I enjoy it much more anyways. Good atmosphere, no parking hassle, a lot cheaper, and players who actually play for love of the game.

Exactly. It is why I don't go to stores anymore but just go to lemonade stands if I am thirsty. And if I want to watch a court case, I don't go to the local courthouse or listen to the Supreme Court arguments online, I go to the local HS moot court day. It is also why I just ask about any medical questions I have on the off-topic forum instead of going to a doctor. Who wants to go and see people who are getting paid?

I congratulate the NBA for getting their act together and playing for their fans who I am sure are happy to have them back. They will certainly be America's second most popular league. I don't care for the NBA and won't be watching...too much scoring. I too will try and get more into hockey. I plan to watch the upcoming NHL playoffs and look forward to college football.

The mood around the MLB negotiations is dark. Even the previously optimistic parties I check in with are losing hope. “Things are really bad right now.” It’s going to take a miracle to save the season.

The players asked for 120 games and the owners asked for 50. It seemed natural to me that at least one of the parties was ready to compromise down to a half season, but apparently that's not the case...
