Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. -- Carl Sagan (Pale Blue Dot)

"Excuse me if this off the subject a little bit, but just take a guess at how much I can bench press. Come on, what do you think? Take a guess. 315 pounds, at the top of my game, maxing out at 500!

From “Fernwood Tonight” to “Waiting For Guffman” to “Modern Family” to seemingly infinite appearance on late night talk show, he was one of the funniest people ever on TV and in movies. He will be missed.

Just saw this clip. Seems like the perfect sendoff.

The extra clips after Best in Show are classic.

It's both nice and also strange to read all the stories from friends and people in the industry about how great a guy he was. Nice because it's good to hear about people who are kind, generous, and funny but strange because so many of these stories seem as if they're being told for the first time. It would have been nice to hear them while he was still around and making stuff. I'm glad he was able to lend some of his talent to Tim Robinson's I Think You Should Leave. My favorite sketch show in forever and Willard's sketch was silly and fun.
