Tomorrow is the 82nd Anniversary of Arturo Schomburg's death, America's greatest researcher and advocate for African-American history and achievement. His path will lead anyone towards an unlimited supply of original source material for the study of racism in America towards people of African descent.

I like both. Their messages are complementary, similar views expressed with different voices. Not sure why you would be so down on Coates.

I've seen that. Don't buy it. There's room for both perspectives in the movement. And many more.

Coates is actually pretty eloquent and soul searching on matters of what he calls "intersectional radicalism": https://www.theatlantic.com/politics...-write/459909/

Remember that Between the World and Me is not a manifesto -- it's a letter to his son.

The leader of our country just retweeted a video of one of his supporters shouting “white power!” And said they were great people, so don’t look to our nation’s leadership for resources for wrestling racism in America!

I think this will be a good resource for understanding the moment.
