FAU plays a decent schedule too. They had already played Miami, FSU, Texas Tech and Florida this year in a shortened season. That's 4 top 10 teams.

Urbaez went 3-5 with 3 RBI and a HR in a win against #6 Miami and 2 for 4 in a loss against #1 Florida

Urbaez is probably a 2B guy. For some reason, Dilson Herrera is coming to mind.
I think I throw the ball as hard as anyone. The ball just doesn't get there as fast. Eddie Bane
We know we're better than this ... but we can't prove it. Tony Gwynn
He's already 22 yrs., 8 mths. i'd be more hopeful if he were two years younger.
Channeling my inner bruceberenyi here: I cannot believe the inimitable Thomas Peppler was omitted. His career was both perfunctory as well as quotidian. He was a 54th-round draft choice in 1967. The Reds entire draft in 1967 produced a monumental -0.7 WAR for the club. It did include Chris Chambliss, but we all know that story all too well. Peppler batted .159. His two walks that season pushed his OBP up to .191. He also accomplished the rare feat of having a higher OBP than SLG by virtue of lifting one sac fly. His line: .159/.191/.182/.373. 1967 was his lone season in the minors.
I mean he is a senior and most seniors are 22 when they graduate. You're going to be hard pressed signing anyone for 20K or less unless they are a senior or just not very good. BTW he also batted .333 on back to back JC National Champions Chipola College with only 17 SO's in 240 AB's.

Age in prospects is never meaningless. Usually you are drafting kids out of college at 21; this kid is already a year and a half older than that. I wish him all the best in the world and I'm sure he can fill a solid organizational role. Most major leaguers who have serious value get there way before 28.
I'm getting the impression there isn't going to be a ton of potential in these UDFA. Despite Boddy's social media recruiting, these feel like fairly late round picks.
It seems the MLB strategy of scaring draftable players back to school likely worked. Those willing to sign UDFA probably have extenuating or unusual circumstances. With Proctor, I'm pretty sure Ivy League schools only give you four years (no redshirts, no injury waivers) to exhaust your athletic eligibility.
Reds sign Carson Spiers who struck out 17 of the 56 batters he faced this season as closer at Clemson before the season ended due to COVID-19.

2020: Had a 3-0 record and an 0.00 ERA in nine relief appearances … in 15.1 innings pitched, he allowed five hits (.098 opponents’ batting average), no homers and three walks with 17 strikeouts … tied for 17th in the nation saves and tied for 23rd in wins … tied for third in the ACC in wins, appearances and saves … led the team in ERA, wins, appearances, games finished on the mound and saves … did not allow an extra-base hit … only allowed one of his 10 inherited baserunners to score … held righthanded batters to 2-for-34 (.059)
What would you say.....ya do here?

In past years, when the Reds had shown so little ability to develop pitchers, I viewed drafting pitchers as lottery tickets. Now, with the new emphasis on developing pitchers, I see it a bit more hopefully.
The Reds have drafted or signed arms with excellent upside if they can develop them. Of course, every pitcher carries risk, but why not start with those having the greatest reward also? Driveline will likely be able to add a little velocity to Roa making him a solid middle of the rotation candidate. Bonnin and Boyle will likely require adjustment in their mechanics. Bonnin will be given an opportunity to start, but the fallback for both is back end relief. Proctor and Spiers are far from chaff. In each case I'm guessing that the pitching development team has seen something they believe they can change to make a big difference.
